Everyone loves to get a bargain, but it is a matter of getting the bargain that varies from person to person. Some people are content with a sale, while others must get the absolute lowest price possible. I am a person that loves to find the best deal possible, but realistically I can’t expect results like those on the new couponing show. The reason for this is the fact that not all grocery stores are created equal when it comes to couponing. Unfortuately King Soopers stores have decided to limit you to using three coupons for a specific product. Therefore I can’t use four Totino’s coupons for .50/1 even though I am buying four pizzas. I’ll have to make an extra trip to the store or create two or more shopping lists to be checked out separately at checkout, which I am certain my fellow grocery shoppers (and possibly the checker) would love. It is possible to get great savings on items at either no cost or little cost to you, but the biggest step is to plan ahead. Don’t go to the store with a shopping list hoping items will be on sale, and don’t assume that the sale price this week is the absolute lowest price you’ll see on the product. Do your research. Although King Soopers stores limit you on the number of coupons for a like product the one thing they have is the wonderful King Soopers Homeshop. I love this site because I can make a grocery list at home and be fairly confident the price on the website is the price I’ll pay in store. Therefore I can check all of my coupons and find the best sales without having to make a special trip to the store or spend hours searching the web for the best deals in their newest weekly ad. Remember that the people on the couponing show are saving money, but they are spending hours getting their deals together. You will have to invest time to save money, but this is time that is worth every penny. Start small and ramp up to maximize your savings. In today’s economy you can’t afford to be paying full price for anything.

My recent move across town has required a search for the new grocery stores in my area. My previous Albertsons store had started to double, triple, or quadruple coupons up to $1, but my new Albertsons store doesn’t provide any additional savings on my manufacturer’s coupons. Why don’t they continue to offer additional cents off manufacturer’s coupons? King Soopers and Safeway offer to double your coupons savings up to $1 and provide downloadable coupon savings to your shopping card. Albertsons doesn’t even offer a downloadable option because they don’t have a shopper’s card. I don’t mind having to carry around my King Soopers or Safeway since I get extra savings at the register from my downloaded coupons. I am a huge comparision shopper and spend time comparing the King Soopers, Safeway, and Albertsons ads for the best deals on various items. When Albertsons has a sale on an item for .50 less than King Soopers or Safeway you’d think it is a great bargain. In most cases you’ll be wrong. Why? Factor in any coupon savings on the item and any downloadable coupon. By the time King Soopers or Safeway doubles the manufacturer coupon and you get the savings from the downloadable coupon you’ll spend less on the item at King Soopers or Safeway than the sale price at Albertsons. Albertsons could have saved you the same amount by doubling the coupon or saved you even more by doubling the coupon and having a shopper’s card for the downloadable coupon. Albertsons does have some decent sales at times that save you money, but those sales don’t compare to the lack of savings they’ll cost you in the long run.
My apologies to anyone that follows my site. I have been in the process of moving over the last several weeks (between packing, moving, and unpacking) and haven’t had extra time to sort through the various sales at the local grocery stores. Now I have found some extra time, but I am currently waiting on the post office to provide me with a mailbox key and the newspaper to be delivered to my new house. My goal: Sunday I will have updated at least a few specials from the new coupon inserts and weekly ads. Additionally I will be posting deals for not only King Soopers, Albertson’s, Safeway, and Sunflower Market, but will begin posting any deals for people living near a Sprouts.
Keep coming back for more sales and information and thanks for your patience during the move.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the Holiday season up to this point. I am looking forward to the New Year and all that it may bring. In the meantime I will be posting any sales for the upcoming week (December 29th to January 4th) starting tomorrow with Sunflower Market’s new ad. Thanks to everyone for visiting!

GroceryCouponHelper.com would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful day and remember all of the things you are thankful for this holiday season!
Hello to everyone that has been following this blog since it’s start earlier this year. I apologize for the lack of postings during the last few months, but a new job and college classes made for some hectic months. Since I have a couple months before my next set of classes, which I hope to schedule better, I will get caught up on posting specials for the upcoming week starting December 9th. I should receive the new ads tomorrow and will work on posting any specials tomorrow evening and Wednesday, especially the Sunflower Market ads for anyone look to take advantage of Double Ad Wednesdays! I appreciate everyone continuing to check-in on the bargains, and look for new specials starting tomorrow!
I have noticed an increase in prices at the grocery store again. I remember the Colorado Proud milk for $1.58/gal and now it is up to $1.88/gal. I have to admit I am not impressed with the Buy 10 Save $5 sale for the last couple weeks. You can still get your Oscar Mayer Bologna for cheaper when you wait for a 10/$10 sale. The coupons for Kraft and Velveeta products expired the day before the sale and very few coupons can be found for the products currently in the sale. This is an insult to the families currently struggling to make ends meet and trying to save every cent. I felt I had to express my opinion, and share a little about my frustration with the current “specials.”
Do you have questions regarding the site? Have any items or information you’d like to see posted? I welcome all suggestions and comments. Feel free to send me an email via the Suggestions/Comments link at the left hand side of the page. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sunday’s paper will have two coupon inserts. I checked on The Coupon Clippers website and it appears most of the coupons in this Sunday’s paper will replace the coupons set to expire over the next week. No new coupons to post, but I will check to verify any sales on the new coupons. Have a great weekend!
My apologies, but I took today off to spend with my family for the holiday. A wonderful day of fishing spent with family and friends, but unfortunately no fish. Hope everyone had a great Father’s Day. And…Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!
